The role in brief: An opportunity has arisen to join the cloud team as a senior adviser. As part of the cloud team, you will be part of a growing team that provides cloud based accountancy services to clients all over the world. Who we are looking for: This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has a approx. 5 years practice experience and an active interest in cloud-based software (especially Xero). The role would be great for someone looking to excel their skills and career by being part of a progressive team. We would like someone who works well as part of a team and enjoys mentoring and supporting junior team members. What the role involves: • Supervising and reviewing outsourcing tasks carried out by team members, including bookkeeping and payment runs, using a variety of cloud-based software and applications • Preparation, review and submission of VAT returns • Preparation of management information and advisory reporting, such as forecasting, budgets and cashflows, in-house and at client's premises • Preparation and review of year-end accounts • Preparation and review of corporate tax returns, including analysis of tax-sensitive nominals • Leading and assisting with cloud accounting projects, such as system conversions and healthchecks • Training clients in the use of cloud accounting software in-house and at client's premises • Completing and assisting with the completion of ad hoc tasks and duties typical to cloud accounting services • Researching and investigating cloud accounting solutions for use in client service delivery, including attending relevant external events where appropriate • Consideration of income and other personal tax implications • Being a trusted adviser to our clients, forming excellent relationships • Being responsible for service delivery, seeking opportunities to add value, suggest and implement efficiencies and improvements • Assisting with client onboarding tasks and service proposals • Assisting with internal projects, such as implementation and delivery of software and systems used by the team • Supervising, mentoring and buddying of less experienced team members, taking an active role in their work and development • Recognising opportunities for cross-referral to other departments within PMM • Reporting to and communicating with client managers • Maintain training and development needs in line with cloud accounting services and skills relevant to the role Your development: We will provide a study package (if relevant) towards the continuation of the AAT and or ACA/ACCA qualification, including study leave and will mentor you through your qualification journey.
