Site Maintenance Manager - Fresh Produce

We're looking for a Maintenance Manager to join a highly respected leader in soft fruit production. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of all glasshouse and associated equipment, contributing to the success of a dynamic, growing company.
The Role:
As the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for:
1. Overseeing the routine servicing and inspection of electrical, mechanical, and facility equipment (including boilers, high-pressure pumps, and gearboxes).
2. Communicating technical issues to the relevant teams, particularly those responsible for heat pumps or CHPs maintenance.
3. Maintaining accurate records of all repair and maintenance work, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
4. Quickly identifying, repairing, and refurbishing any defects or malfunctions to minimize downtime.
5. Taking ownership of key maintenance projects and seeing them through to successful completion.
6. Coordinating and providing feedback on the performance and functionality of machinery and equipment.
You:
To succeed in this role, you should have:
1. A background in fresh produce or agricultural environments is highly desirable.
2. Proven experience in managing commercial HVAC systems, industrial boilers, and heating systems (ideally with experience in glasshouse heating).
3. Hands-on experience in maintenance and repair of production machinery is a plus.
4. Skills in fabrication (lathe and welding) would be an added advantage.
5. A valid UK/EU driving license is essential.
6. Flexibility with working hours, including potential callouts, to meet operational needs.
7. The ability to lead and motivate teams, ensuring high performance and collaboration.

Competitive Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 (DOE).
