The Role

Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging and high-quality Science lessons at KS3 and KS4.
* Incorporate cognitive science principles and evidence-based teaching strategies into classroom practice.
* Support the school’s commitment to knowledge-rich education by ensuring students access rigorous and challenging content.
* Contribute to the school’s ethos and values, upholding high expectations for student behaviour and learning.
* Work collaboratively with the Science department, sharing best practices and refining teaching strategies.
* Participate in ongoing professional development, including personalised 1:1 coaching sessions and weekly CPD.
The Ideal Candidate
The school is looking for a passionate and driven Science teacher who:
* Holds QTS and has experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4.
* Has a strong understanding of research-led teaching methods, including Rosenshine’s Principles and direct instruction.
* Shares the school’s commitment to providing outstanding education for all students, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
* Can engage and inspire students of all abilities, fostering a love for Science.
