Role Responsibility An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Support Officer to join the Children’s Commissioning Team, which is part of the Children, Young People and Education directorate. We are looking for a highly organised and motivated individual who embraces new approaches and new ways of working, and is capable of managing their own time and that of others. With support from a small team of Administration Officers, the role is responsible for providing a coordinated and comprehensive business and administrative support service to the Commissioning teams, managers and the Head of Service, ensuring the team is able to fulfil its functions as efficiently as possible and meet the needs of the children of Kent. The successful candidate will need to be able to work well as part of a team but also be confident at working independently on their own projects and managing their priorities. They will need to be able to exercise total confidentiality and the highest degree of tact and diplomacy in dealings with staff at all levels, as well as internal and external partners, at times involving complex matters. The post holder will need to be skilled and knowledgeable about computer systems, and demonstrably able to learn new systems quickly and support others to do so. The ability to take accurate, high quality minutes during meetings, both in person and online, will be essential.
