Job Summary
IT Services is currently looking for an IT Customer Solutions Technician. Our team places a strong emphasis on prioritising customers at the core of our operations. As the point of contact for technical support, your main responsibilities will involve resolving technical issues and providing an exceptional IT customer experience. If you enjoy working with people and have a passion and experience in technology, this role is well-suited for you. You should have technical proficiency with endpoint devices, a good understanding of operating systems, and previous experience with application installations. Additionally, you should be keen to acquire new technical skills and fully engage in the council’s technology journey.
Responsibilities
1. Identifying and providing solutions to common issues related to customer technology products, employing creative problem-solving techniques as part of our customer journey.
2. Maintaining detailed and accurate customer notes in the ITSM system.
3. Conducting diagnostic repairs on various technologies, such as smartphones, laptops, and desktops.
4. Building, configuring, and installing endpoints for customers.
5. Participating in the development and testing of new programs and projects.
Experience
1. Experience in a customer service setting, technical support, and/or consumer electronics.
2. Knowledge of support processes and devices (laptops, cell phones, tablets, etc.).
3. Strong transcription and web navigation skills while providing quality phone support.
4. Flexible thinker capable of grasping new technology, processes, and procedures quickly.
5. Ability to create and follow technical documentation.
6. Adaptable to change.
