Operations Manager Were looking for an experienced person to run our small office-based site at Suzuki Europe Limited, the official distributor for Suzuki Musical Instruments in the UK. Experience of running a small business or having had experience of something similar would be a definite advantage. We distribute musical instruments (mostly Harmonicas) on e-commerce platforms such as Amazon, eBay, retail music shops and direct on-line sales on some products. You would be responsible for maintaining these relationships alongside cultivating new business opportunities. Experience in the music sector isnt necessary, as basic training will be given. This is a unique and varied role for the right person who will work in conjunction with Suzuki Corporation, Japan and report to them with aspects of the UK based business and sales strategy. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Being responsible for the day to day running of the company. Acting as the point of contact for retailers and customers, mostly by e-mail. Overseeing and responsible for finance: payments out, payments in, banking and any overdue payments outstanding. Despatch of stock, to be collected by Action Express or UPS. Taking payments from customers by Direct Bank Transfer, Paypal invoices, Credit card payments. Dealing with stock orders from Amazon, eBay and retail shops. Our Technical Manager currently deals with sending stock out to Amazon every Monday. Ordering stock from Suzuki head office in Japan and dealing with the Freight Forwarders on importation and payments of VAT and Duties etc. Invoicing sales orders through Xero accounting. Currently the remainder of the book keeping is out-sourced to our freelance part time book keeper, who allocates payments and deals with the more complex Amazon transactions. Responsibility for the quarterly VAT returns (through Xero Accounting) Financial reporting to head office. (reports through Xero Accounting, one set of reports per month) Overseeing advertising and promotion of products through the company website/s, social media and magazines, with the aid of our freelance Technical Manager Stock taking - full stock taking at least once a year, if not more.
