Are you passionate about using data and population health insights to drive meaningful change in healthcare? Norfolk and Waveney Integrated Care Board (ICB) is seeking an exceptional pharmacy leader to take on the role of Head of Population Health and Data Analysis - Medicines Optimisation within the Medicines Optimisation team.
What You’ll Do:
As part of the senior leadership team, you’ll head the Population Health and Data Analysis Pillar, playing a vital role in identifying and addressing health inequalities, optimizing prescribing strategies, and implementing innovative data solutions. You’ll lead impactful projects, manage a skilled team, and collaborate across stakeholders to shape the future of healthcare in the region.
What We’re Looking For:
We need a pharmacist leader with a strong background in management, data analysis, and population health management. You should possess strategic thinking skills, the ability to interpret complex information, and experience in driving system-wide improvements. Expertise in developing dashboards, managing budgets, and implementing efficiency strategies is essential.
Main duties of the job
As the Head of Population Health & Data Analysis, you will be leading a team to deliver programmes and projects within this Pillar of work. You will utilise a range of data sources and programmes to identify strategic plans, manage change with stakeholders and reduce health inequalities.
You will create internal working relationships with wider teams within the ICB to provide professional pharmaceutical expertise for your area of work. You will also matrix work with the other Pillar Heads to develop strategic objectives and plans for the Medicines Optimisation Team.
The post holder will develop programmes to support cost and quality improvements for the local population using medicines and devices- including horizon scanning for future developments. You will be able to influence and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders at multiple levels, and be skilled in presenting complex information to individuals and groups.
You will lead the development of the annual Prescribing Incentive Scheme and budget setting within primary care, and act as the lead for Genomics and Research within the Medicines Optimisation team.
The post is based at County Hall, but largely works remotely. The position does not involve weekend, bank holiday or on-call working.
We anticipate interviews to take place on 27/28 February.

Hybrid Working
The ICB operates a flexible approach to working. It is expected the majority of our staff will work from a combination of home and office (where possible). For staff designated in a hybrid role they should have a safe and suitable place to work with Broadband access and space for a desk, chair and monitors.
