A vacancy has arisen within our Mobile Cranes After Sales department based in Biggleswade for an After-Sales Administrator on a 12 Month Fixed-Term contract. To ensure maximum commercial recovery from service engineers’ times and to participate in minimising the work-in-progress stock levels. Administrative procedures must be adhered to and developed whilst working within the Company’s key result areas: Business Performance, Customer Focus, People and Teamwork, Leadership.
Responsibilities
1. Participating in taking calls from customers and liaising with service engineers, all members of the Mobile Crane sales and after-sales team, and other company personnel as appropriate.
2. Identifying and implementing improvements to the after-sales administration process.
3. Collating information sufficient to support an internal or external invoice.
4. Constructing internal and external invoices using all relevant supplied information.
5. Being active in recovering necessary information from different sources when observed as required.
6. Filing and organising documentation to facilitate easy retrieval and in accordance with company systems.
7. Inputting engineers’ times to build up cost bases for invoices and payroll purposes.
8. Creating new maintain machine files, collating data, and maintaining machine records in an organised manner.
9. Attending meetings and exhibitions off-site and overseas, which may include overnight stays.
10. Undertaking training as required by the company, both at the workplace and off-site, including overseas.
11. Performing and communicating in a manner that builds on the strength of the Crane After-Sales team, Liebherr-Great Britain Ltd, and the Group.
12. Undertaking some or all duties of other personnel in their absence as required.
13. Assisting with main reception and telephonist duties as needed.
14. Arranging and being flexible with other team members to ensure full desk coverage for the required working day, which may involve flexing start and finish times.
15. Undertaking all work in accordance with the company’s Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental policies. Preparing risk assessments and method statements, and implementing safe systems of work as necessary.
16. Any other duty as required by management commensurate with the post.

2. Being a good, effective communicator verbally and by email at all levels.
3. Having a strong customer service ethic with a positive and pro-active approach.
4. Being a team player, willing and able to work closely with others, promoting good relationships and collaboration.
5. Using own initiative and being self-motivated.
6. Having excellent administrative skills with an understanding of the need for close control of engineering information, its retrieval, and communication.
7. Being computer literate and able to demonstrate uses of IT relevant to the role, including Word and Excel.
8. Being able to travel overseas as required.
9. Attending training as required.
10. Having a minimum of 5 GCSE passes or equivalent, including Mathematics and English.
11. Ideally having experience in the construction plant or transport industry, possibly in a parts, warranty, or service environment.
