Marketing and Communications Manager - Retail Operations
12 month FTC
37.5 hours per week, hybrid working
£40,000 per year
This exciting role is vital in helping us to reach and communicate with our target audiences to raise the profile of our charity retail activities and drive income to fund our care. The work demands creative flair, brilliant writing skills for offline and digital communications, as well as the ability to organise time effectively, creating work schedules, prioritising workload and meeting deadlines with excellent attention to detail and proof reading skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Work with the Marketing and Communications and Retail Teams to create, implement and evaluate key retail communications and marketing strategies and campaigns to help them achieve their goals.
2. Create a multi-channel marketing and communications plan for the successful opening of our two new superstores.
3. Create vibrant content that’s really focused on our target audiences, including news stories, press releases, blogs, campaign copy, email newsletters, website pages, and social media posts.
4. Secure positive media coverage for our retail activities.
5. Secure lucrative opportunities to advertise and promote our retail operations across the community we serve.
6. Contribute to internal communications newsletters to promote our retail activities.
7. Stay up-to-date with the latest communications and digital marketing trends and implement these in your role.
8. Align our retail marketing and communications activities with other key departments to support the work of the Hospice.
About You:
* Strong written and spoken English.
* The ability to identify the target audience for any given project or campaign.
* Strong organisation and time-management skills with excellent attention to detail.
* Excellent relationship-building skills.
Essential:
* Excellent standard of English, written style, spoken and grammar.
* At least 5 years of working in a marketing and communications role.
Desirable:
* Educated to graduate level or equivalent.
* Working experience in the charity sector.
