Band 6 - Clinical Nurse Educator - 37.5hrs PERMANENT
An exciting opportunity has arisen on our neonatal unit to join the education team as a Band 6 Clinical Educator.
We are looking for an experienced neonatal nurse to join our innovative, compassionate and family-focused neonatal team. You will have significant experience in neonatal acute nursing and a willingness to undertake further academic study to gain a PG Cert in Education. You will also have experience of working as a mentor and practice assessor.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to drive service improvements and work effectively as part of the multi-disciplinary team are essential.

* Support and facilitate staff in clinical areas to identify opportunities for maintaining and improving standards of patient care.
* In liaison with the nursing leadership and professional development team, promote a quality service using research and evidence-based practice, including the setting, monitoring, and auditing of clinical standards.
* Provide education and training to multidisciplinary team staff and assist in the delivery of training programmes for nurses to expand their skills.
* Develop guidelines and implement developments.
* Act as a resource for all disciplines of staff including pre-registration students.
The neonatal unit at Russell's Hall Hospital comprises of 3 intensive care, 2 high dependency, 13 special care, and 4 transitional care cots.
