About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity available to join our growing events team in London. As an Event Security Officer, you will ensure the safety and security of attendees at various events. Responsibilities include managing access control, monitoring crowds, conducting patrols, operating surveillance equipment, and responding to emergencies. You will also assist with conflict resolution, provide attendee assistance, and maintain clear communication with the security team and event organisers to create a secure and positive event experience. Whether you’re looking for regular event duties every weekend or casual shifts depending on your availability, we have a position for you. In addition to your role as an Event Security Officer, you will also have the opportunity to work as a general Security Officer, should you wish to do so.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Ensure all permitted visitors receive a ‘high end’ customer experience from entry to exit
* Provide a level of Service Excellence at all times
* Crowd Control
* Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate accordingly
* Take accurate notes to complete reports, logbook entries and all relevant paperwork to a high standard, including reporting in detail any incidents occurring whilst on duty
* Monitor and control access at event entrances and vehicle gates
* Ensure risk assessment and event briefs are always followed to meet requirements
* Attend training courses as requested
* Take effective action in an emergency and cooperate fully with the relevant services
* Enforce all relevant health and safety requirements at all times
* Carry out any other duties as reasonably requested by the client
Person Specification:
* Personal presentation of a very high standard
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Experience in a customer-facing role
* Good organisational skills
* High level of professionalism
* Reliable with excellent timekeeping and attendance
* Ability to use initiative and be adaptable
* Ability to work effectively on your own and as part of a team
Minimum Requirements:
* SIA Security Guarding Licence
* Proof of eligibility to work in the UK
* Experience working in the Security industry
* SIA – Door Supervisor Licence
