With an initiative for continued growth, ISG, a multi-disciplinary architecture and engineering firm, recently expanded into downtown Rochester! We're hiring Civil Engineers to join our Land Development and Public Works team to bolster these expanding groups. These will be Rochester-based positions, supporting the strong growth of our recently established Rochester office as well as opportunities for firm-wide support.
ABOUT THE JOB
First and most importantly, you will be an ISG Employee Owner working collaboratively with your fellow employee owners to deliver for our clients. As a member of a fully-integrated team, you will work with clients to provide optimized civil design and master planning services. You will assist clients with realizing what is possible on their sites. As part of a larger fully integrated team, you get the satisfaction of guiding your client through their project from master planning through completion and beyond. Your teammates on this exciting journey with our client include planners, surveyors, environmental engineers, landscape architects, architects, interior designers, structural engineers, MEP engineers and construction administrators.
We're looking for someone with strong passion for civil engineering and client service, who thinks and designs with sustainability and creativity to deliver the best analysis and options for our clients. We are also looking for someone who enjoys staying engaged in various professional organizations to continue to learn, grow and influence.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
1. Contribute to the development and implementation of the public works market and general civil engineering strategies.
2. Serve as a liaison with clients, government and regulatory authorities, and contractors.
3. Assist with contract administration of municipal projects.
4. Prepare municipal infrastructure master plans and studies, including stormwater management reports.
5. Prepare drawings, documents, details, schedules or specifications using programs such as AutoCAD, Civil3D and Arc View GIS.
6. Provide expertise on construction sites as needed.
7. Subscribe to our goals and objectives, operating with a collaborative mentality.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Licensed Professional Engineer or ability to obtain within 1 year.
2. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
3. 5-10 years of experience in Civil Engineering, preferred.
4. Strong communication, report writing, organization, analytical and interpersonal skills.
5. Working knowledge of the design standards.
6. Self-directed and can work independently with minimal supervision.
7. Familiarity with local government process and permitting.
