We are currently seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to join a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Secondary School in Milton Keynes, starting in November 2024.

- The school consists of a main site for pupils aged 9-16, as well as an associated independent sixth form provision for students aged 16-19.

Responsibilities:
- Assist senior LSAs and teachers with preparing resources tailored to the personalised learning needs of students.
- Provide one-on-one support to students under the guidance of the class teacher, facilitating skills-based learning.
- Work closely with the class teacher to monitor and report on student progress, using an evidence-based approach.
- Support students in understanding their learning goals, encouraging them to practice new skills and challenge themselves to become as independent as possible.
- Contribute to the overall well-being of students, ensuring they can fully engage with their learning and participate in school life.
- Implement the school's safeguarding policies and procedures, ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A minimum of GCSE qualifications in English and Maths.
- Previous experience working in a similar role within an educational setting is desirable but not essential. Additional responsibilities will be provided in this role beyond those of a standard teaching assistant.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Proactive attitude, able to take the initiative to support the needs of students.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to prioritise responsibilities and adapt to changing demands within a busy educational environment.

The pay rates quoted are inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary position, with the potential for permanent placement depending on performance and school requirements.
