Make your mark for patients We are looking for a Medical Communications Lead to join us in our UK & Ireland Medical team, based in our Slough, UK offices About the role The Medical Communications Lead is a highly strategic role focused on translating and simplifying complex, often data heavy data into something that can be communicated effectively and impactfully to our stakeholders. The role will work closely with the franchise team and be an integral member of the team, providing highly specialized expertise to allow the franchise to perform maximally. The role is divided into the highly strategic work with the franchise and the imperative compliance and governance work involving medical certification. This role is a high performing role providing important communication between the business and the central medical affairs pillar. Who you’ll work with You will report into our Medical Governance Lead for the UK & Ireland What you’ll do Drive execution excellence in commercial and medical by providing support for defining and prioritizing activities with the greatest impact and ROI. Act as the medical communication expert ensuring robust compliance and governance needs are met. Provide medical signatory input and certification on all materials. Provides input on planned initiatives to ensure we bring maximum value to our customers and establish UCB's reputation as a leader & deep subject matter expert. Support the commercial team to tell “our” story and USPs in a compelling and compliant way, providing real value to our HCPs Work to optimize content quality and drive efficiencies while consistently being the leader in code of compliance to the commercial team. Support awareness of UCB activities for the therapeutic areas in the UK. Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills: Bachelor’s degree and final signatory required Several years in industry ideally within medical affairs although good working knowledge of the commercial side of the business will provide value input in this role. Must be a qualified medical signatory ideally with a couple years signatory experience. Demonstrated experience facilitating and coordinating teams and processes with appropriate use of interpersonal skills. Well versed with influencing skills - through well thought through rationale and effective communication skills. Communication skills - knows when and how to communicate, using strong interpersonal skills and written communications when appropriate.
