Financial Adviser - Burgess Hill
Our client is looking to welcome a Financial Adviser into their team based in Burgess Hill, to advise clients according to their circumstances and objectives.
Specific responsibilities
* Prospecting and contacting potential clients as per the firm’s business plan
* Gathering sufficient client information before making recommendations
* Following relevant advice and sales procedures consistently
* Managing portfolios in line with client mandates, objectives, and the firm's investment proposition
* Conducting product and market research
* Making suitable recommendations at all times
* Maintaining all supporting documents
* Contacting clients as per the agreed service levels
* Providing clients with relevant documentation promptly
* Handling client queries efficiently and timely
* Treating clients fairly according to “TCF” principles
* Identifying vulnerable clients and providing appropriate advice
* Maintaining a current statement of professional standing (SPS)
* Recording relevant CPD accurately
* Maintaining performance standards required by the firm
* Ensuring competence levels are upheld
* Remaining “Fit & Proper” for the role
General responsibilities
* Following compliance processes and procedures (e.g., T&C, complaints, financial crime, data security, conflicts of interest, record keeping, etc.)
* Responding promptly to compliance requests
* Adhering to the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000, FCA conduct rules, and relevant FCA rules
* Maintaining a positive culture
* Staying updated on regulatory, legislative, and technical requirements
* Conducting client contact professionally and courteously
* Ensuring client files and records are compliant and securely stored
* Collaborating with admin support, paraplanners, and team members
Relevant experience, skills, and knowledge
Ideal candidates will have:
* Good understanding of relevant legislation affecting the industry
* Awareness of the operating environment and issues
* Ability to compile reports
Qualification requirements
The minimum qualification is a “level 4” Diploma, with the goal of achieving Chartered status.
