Job summary
Eve Hill Medical Practice is an established family medical practice in the heart of Dudley in the Black Country (excellent transport routes from/to Birmingham), rated outstanding by CQC in March 2016. We provide excellence in service and care to a registered list of approximately 8700 patients. We are an exemplar site for the Black Country ICB for our access and delivery of modern general practice.
The practice consists of an experienced and approachable team, including five GPs, Practice Business Manager, an Advanced Nurse Practitioner and two Practice Nurses, a Nurse Associate, Health Care Assistant and large administration and support team. We are supported by a Physician Associate employed by the PCN.
We are a training practice and usually have at least one registrar. We also provide placements for final year medical students from the University of Birmingham. We undertake commercial and non-commercial research and have been the highest recruiting practice in Birmingham and the Black Country. The post holder will have the opportunity to participate in practice research and personal development.
We are innovative and committed to care navigation, workflow administration, non-clinical filing of pathology and smarter working, so that we have an appropriate skill mix within the practice, to allow our GPs to only undertake work relevant to their role.
Main duties of the job
Up to 8 sessions per week
We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated Salaried GP. The practice prides itself on providing a supportive and safe environment for all, especially the non-medical staff and trainees. Therefore, the ability and willingness to supervise others is essential, time is allocated for this.

1. The post-holder will undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations and emergencies, telephone consultations and queries, on-call, triaging, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with clinical queries, patient test results, patient medical reports and examinations ( Insurance Companies) on behalf of the Practice, referral letters NHS/private, paperwork and correspondence in a timely manner
2. Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisation
3. Supervising and supporting non-medical practitioners, trainee doctors and medical students.
4. Comply with the requirements of the practices General Medical Services (GMS) contract, Enhanced Services contracts, educational/training delivery contracts and private contracts.
5. Adhere to the principles of the GMCs Good Medical Practice.
