Reports to: Youth Program Director
Summary/Objective
The Hockey Coach teaches age-appropriate skill concepts and game strategies while emphasizing fair play. The Hockey Coach works with children of different ages and ability levels ensuring a safe, fun environment.
Essential Functions

* Teach fundamental playing rules, strategies, and playing tactics.
* Ensure a safe and fun teaching environment.
* Be responsible for team equipment.
* Communicate with participants and/or parents regarding practice schedules.
* If unable to work, proactively seek substitutes for your shift and immediately inform the supervisor of the substitution.
* Be in proper Coach/Instructor uniform at all times while at work and always present the acac brand and standard anytime and anywhere the acac uniform is worn.
* Ensure ongoing familiarity with acac programs to manage questions and communicate knowledgeably to acac members and guests.
Requirements
Physical Demands
* Must be able to successfully instruct and demonstrate proper playing techniques.
* Must be able to actively participate in practice.
Required Competencies, Education, and Experience
* Minimum 18 years of age and one year of coaching at any level.
* High School diploma preferred.
* Genuine interest in coaching children.

* Club cleanliness is an all-team responsibility; assist whenever necessary in any area of the club to keep the club neat and clean.

* Deliver five-star service to members and guests with friendliness, direct eye contact, and a pleasant demeanor at all times.
