The Kindle Engineering Support team delivers critical tier 3/4 technical support and engineering services that keep millions of customers' reading experiences seamless. As a key member of our team, you'll work across the Kindle digital environment, ensuring reliable service delivery while driving continuous improvement.
What You'll Do:
1. Lead complex technical troubleshooting across multiple Kindle products and services
2. Develop and maintain automation tools using Python, Java, Perl, shell scripting, and full-stack web technologies
3. Manage deployment processes in staging and production environments
4. Own end-to-end resolution of critical support incidents
5. Build and maintain monitoring solutions and status reporting systems
6. Take ownership of key digital products/components within or overlapping with Kindle
7. Coordinate cross-team technical responses while maintaining service level agreements
8. Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge bases
9. Drive operational improvements through tool development and process optimization

Minimum Requirements:
1. 2+ years of software development, or 2+ years of technical support experience
2. Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
3. Experience in Unix
4. Experience scripting in modern programming languages
5. Knowledge of web services, distributed systems, and web application development
6. Experience scripting in one or more languages (e.g. Bash, Python, Perl, Ruby)
7. Experience with REST web services, XML, JSON
