The Cyber Security Specialist role sits within the CISO function within Digital. The role will be responsible for conducting risk assessments, developing and implementing security policies, and managing security systems. The Cyber Security Specialist will also be responsible for monitoring and responding to any security breaches, as well as providing security advice and training to members of the organisation.
Accountabilities
Security Operations
1. Conducting security assessments and reviews, visiting sites across the South of England to carry out Cyber Security assessments and improvements.
2. Managing and maintaining security systems and solutions.
3. Identifying and mitigating security risks through knowledge of Identity & Access Management, Network Security, Integration Security, Data Protection and Recovery.
4. Investigating security breaches.
Product/Project/Business Support
1. Providing security advice and guidance relating to Digital projects and core products.
2. Provide support and practical assistance on information security risk and control throughout the organisation.
3. Promote security awareness to all employees at all levels.
Security Governance/Assurance
1. Developing security policies, standards, and procedures.
2. Monitor, audit and report on compliance to IT security standards highlighting compliance breaches or potential risks.
3. Respond and report on NIS and DWI compliance and complete compliance submissions (e.g. DWI CAF).
Knowledge & experience:
1. Experience of Critical National Infrastructure useful.
2. A good Information Security generalist/Digital background.
3. Knowledge of ISO27001/ISO27002.
4. Excellent documentation and reporting skills.
5. Prefer familiarity with NIS Regulations Desirable.
6. Industry certifications and qualifications, ideally CISSP (or willingness to work towards).
