Senior HR Advisor
Within the range of £29,427 to £34,266 per annum
This is an excellent career opportunity to join the Human Resources team at Suffolk New College working across our campuses. Working as part of the HR team you will support the delivery of a pro-active, professional customer-focused, effective, efficient service to internal and external customers, which drives business performance and contributes to the achievement of strategic and operational objectives.
Alongside a HR Business Partner and HR Advisor, you will work with a portfolio of staff providing advice, guidance and support on HR related issues to both management and staff members. Key areas include:
1. Recruitment and selection
2. Pre-employment
3. Induction and probation
4. Contracts of employment and associated terms and conditions
5. Absence management
6. Employee relations casework
You will ensure all activity is undertaken in accordance with the College’s HR policies and procedures, best practice and employment legislation.
With a commitment to delivering excellent customer service and promoting high performance, you will be pro-active in approach, with the ability to work in partnership with management and have excellent administrative and organisational skills, alongside experience of managing HR casework and a good working knowledge of a broad range of HR issues.
Working in an HR team who service three campuses you will be flexible and adaptable in approach with excellent communication skills and a team working ethos as you will be required to support HR team colleagues and provide cover as required.
You will ideally hold a Level 5 CIPD qualification with a commitment towards achieving Level 7 CIPD and you should have achieved maths and English at level 2 or equivalent.
This main base for this post is the Ipswich Campus, however Suffolk New College is a multi-campus, therefore you will be required to work at and travel between campuses.
