Job Description Described as “kind, caring, compassionate and courteous” by our clients, we’re looking for a great vet to join our team at Hedge End Vets4Pets The Practice Hedge End Vets4Pets is a locally owned practice in a prime location for a diverse client base and caseload, whilst also fitted with the excellent level of equipment you’d expect from a thriving GP practice, ensuring you have everything you need to provide the best standards of care to our patients. Our team You’ll be joining a small team with a big heart We’re a sociable, welcoming team of 2 other vets, supported by a brilliant team of 4 nurses, 1 VCA, 5 receptionists’ and our practice administrator Sian who is also a trained Mental Health First Aider. The role This is a balanced role with surgery and medicine and some sole charge, so you’ll have plenty of opportunity to practice your skills and learn new ones. As a solid GP practice with a varied caseload, you can expect to work at a steady pace with our standard consults given 20 minutes. This rewarding position is 40 hours per week, with no OOH requirements and 1 in 3 Saturdays (9:00 – 16:00) and no Sundays giving you a truly great work/life balance About You We’re looking for a proactive small animal vet with great communication skills and some previous GP experience. Whilst this might not be suitable for new graduates, we are happy to receive applications from confident vets in the early stages of their veterinary career.
