Extended Scope Practitioner - LLP Division
As one of the UK’s largest providers of community-based Outpatient services, Modality LLP is looking to develop in-house extended physiotherapy expertise that will support its Orthopaedics, Rheumatology and Pain Management services. Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available, with part-time requiring a minimum of 30 hours per week.
Our community outpatient services manage a wide range of conditions that would otherwise be referred to secondary care. Our team of consultants, GPwERs, and specialist nurses are able to provide patients with rapid access to specialist opinion from a choice of locations across Sandwell, Walsall and Birmingham. This role will support the continued growth of these services, enabling patients to receive a wider range of treatments within the community setting.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will lead the physiotherapy team and deliver extended scope physiotherapy intervention to patients within these specialty areas, providing effective and timely caseload management, clinical diagnosis and extended scope physiotherapy treatment, developing appropriate packages of care, giving specialist clinical/professional advice to patients, carers, and other healthcare professionals.

* Delivery of 1st consultations within a maximum of 4 weeks from referral from a choice of community locations, 7 days per week

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Degree (BSc Hons Physiotherapy) or equivalent. HPC Registered.
* Professional assessor. Evidence of substantial CPD in management and other clinically related and relevant subjects. Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.
Experience
* Previous NHS experience as a physiotherapist.
* Experience of working within a similar environment within primary/secondary care.
* A strong understanding of multi-disciplinary and/or multi-agency working within a community setting.
* Competence in individual caseload management and able to prioritise own work.
* Previous experience of leading service improvement initiatives.
* Able to analyse physiotherapy management problems and identify viable solutions.
* Able to work as a practitioner in and across multi-disciplinary teams.
* Able to apply clinical reasoning skills to a range of complex and varied patient case mixes.
* Competent across a range of physiotherapy, management, and leadership skills supported by skilled professional knowledge.
* Equipment and Medical Devices Competencies.
