Position: Phonics Intervention Teacher
Location: Fazakerley, Liverpool
Contract: Part-Time, Starting January 2025 (Monday to Thursday: 11am until 3pm)
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Teaching Personnel are looking for a dedicated Phonics Intervention Teacher to join a Primary school on a part-time basis from January 2025.
About the Role
As our Phonics Intervention Teacher, you’ll work closely with pupils who need extra support in phonics and early literacy skills. This is an exciting opportunity to make a direct impact on children’s reading abilities, boosting their confidence and academic progress. You’ll plan and deliver targeted phonics sessions to small groups and individual students, helping them develop essential reading skills and a love of learning.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct small-group and one-on-one phonics intervention sessions.
* Assess students' progress, identify gaps in learning, and adapt lessons to meet individual needs.
* Collaborate with classroom teachers to align phonics support with the wider curriculum.
* Track and report on students' progress to ensure measurable improvements.
* Foster a positive, encouraging environment to engage young learners in literacy.
Qualifications and Skills
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) preferred, with experience in primary education.
* Strong understanding of phonics programs, such as Letters and Sounds or Read Write Inc.
* Proven track record of successfully supporting children’s reading development.
* Patient, compassionate, and adaptable to meet individual student needs.
* Strong communication skills to work effectively with staff, parents, and children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
