We're looking for an Operations Manager to join our project team based in Thames Valley (Maple Cross, London).
Location: London – travel to sites and offices required with some remote working available.
Contract: Permanent, Full-time
What will you be responsible for?
As the Thames Valley Operations Manager, you will be working within the local teams, supporting them in building projects that support and develop the local communities.
Your day to day will include:
* Promote & lead the safety, health, and environmental culture. Ensure all works are carried out in a planned, controlled, and safe manner in accordance with statutory regulations, current standards and Kiers SHE policy, processes, procedures, and standards.
* Manage the efficient and economical execution of contracts under the main contract conditions, producing the maximum return to the company to promote on-going and future work with clients and consultants.
* With the Project teams understand and apply the contract, lead, and develop the risk management for the Projects and ensure this is cascaded to all Project levels & to include the supply chain as necessary
* Undertake line management responsibilities for all direct & indirect project staff ensuring each staff member is effectively managed, undertake performance reviews, have agreed learning plans in place and that they are able to carry out duties as assigned to them.
* Promote the wellbeing of your team and ensure that an inclusive workplace where diversity of thought, backgrounds and experience is actively encouraged and achieved.
What are we looking for?
This role of Operations Manager is great for you if you have:
* Degree/HND in Construction
* Professionally qualified or working towards a membership of a Professional Body
* Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card holder & Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS)
* Excellent management and communication skills with the ability to proactively manage production teams on several live construction sites at any one time, including direct labour and sub-contractor resource and the ability to deliver quality construction projects within budget and programme timescales in a safe environment.
* Knowledge of contract conditions and law within the industry
