Payroll Specialist - Newry - REED Specialist Recruitment
Newry, Northern Ireland. A permanent full-time position in a dynamic office-based environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage monthly payroll processes for both UK and EU regions efficiently.
* Submit governmental returns as required.
* Prepare and process monthly payroll-related payments.
* Generate and process Bacs payments.
* Onboard and offboard new hires and leavers.
* Calculate holiday and sickness payments accurately.
* Import payroll journals into Sage accounting software.
* Process end-of-year returns and generate P60s.
* Stay up-to-date with PAYE and NIC legislation changes to ensure compliance.
* Assist external accountants with shadow payroll processing.
* Perform ad-hoc payroll tasks as needed.
Requirements:
* Strong understanding of payroll processes.
* Part-qualified accounting qualification or equivalent payroll experience.
* Experience with accounting software.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
