About Harris Primary Academy Purley Way
Our academy has been open since 2016 and holds an Ofsted rating of 'Outstanding' in all areas. With a full capacity of 21 classes from Reception to Year 6, we opened with a Reception cohort and are growing by a year group at a time, currently serving over 500 pupils.

Main Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
* Developing and implementing the curriculum to promote pupil development
* Planning and preparing courses and lessons tailored to individual needs
* Teaching assigned pupils according to their educational requirements
* Setting and marking work to be completed by pupils
* Assessing, recording, and reporting on pupil progress and attainment
* Disseminating high-quality teaching pedagogy and practice to secure consistently good or outstanding teaching and learning
* Staying committed to ongoing professional development
* Contributing to the wider life of the academy
* Maintaining a dynamic and inspiring learning environment
Qualifications & Experience
We seek candidates with:
* QTS (or equivalent) and an undergraduate degree
* Successful experience teaching the primary curriculum
* A strong understanding of current theory and best practices in teaching and learning
* Good subject knowledge of core National Curriculum subjects
* A deep understanding of child development and progression
* Effective strategies for managing classroom behavior
* An understanding of equal opportunity issues and how they can be addressed in schools
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
