Job Description Baltimore are currently recruiting for a Building Control Surveyor in the Home Counties Home Counties £405 PD / £53.74 PH Inside IR35 Initial 3 month contract (with potential for 12 months) CV’s are being reviewed ASAP and interviews will take place ASAP Reporting to the Building Control Manager, the council are looking for a Building Control Surveyor to implement and enforce current Building Regulations and legislations to deliver Building Control services throughout the borough and promote the service delivery of building control achieving the highest level of customer satisfaction. Your Role as a Building Control Surveyor: Responsible for the Council's Statutory and non-statutory functions as a Local Building Control Authority including the creation of policies, guidance and the processing and support of building regulation applications Hold responsibility for Building Control projects from conception to completion, (negotiating complex technical solutions) To act for the Council as an expert witness in respect of enforcement of the building regulations Commission the use of structural and fire safety specialists on complex projects To support less senior officers and administrators Your Previous experience as a Building Control Surveyor: Requires Membership of Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors or Chartered Association of Building Engineers Registered as a Building Control Inspector at Class 2 or above. Ability to supervise others to a high degree and assist with growth and development. Knowledge of non-restricted functions and activities. Ability to tailor your approach to each conversation appropriately with Customers to SLT.
