Requisition ID: 55185 Position Type: FT Probation Workplace Arrangement: LI-Onsite About the role We are currently hiring for a Process Systems Engineer in our Kerry Dairy Ireland site in Ossett - this is needed to support the team with Integrated PLC systems across site due to the site being largely automated. This person will also act as support for the shift engineers as and when required. What will I be doing? Complying with the health and safety policy and regulations. Carrying out risk assessments with the relevant people and put controls in place to minimise the risk to acceptable levels where reasonably practicable. Carry out electrical project work from concept to installation. Resolving technical electrical breakdowns solely and via supporting on shift engineers. Version control of all onsite software backups. Backup of onsite equipment including server systems, HMI/SCADA systems, PLC’s, motor drives and servo systems. Writing of one-point lessons for site/engineers on recent projects or improvements completed. Actively gain as much information as possible from production personnel regarding the fault on the machine to speed up the fault-finding process. Ensure engineering logs and computer systems are fully filled in with all relevant information including PM/job work order numbers, all used parts, plant asset numbers, including raising part requisitions. Ensure all communications with external persons are conducted in a professional manner which reflects the company profile. What do I need to be successful? In order to be successful in this role we would be looking for the right competencies and aptitudes as well as your proven track record of success in a similar role and environment. These include: HNC Electrical as a minimum qualification. Apprentice trained with industrial PLC knowledge with at least 5 years’ experience. Knowledge of batched based mixing and filling systems system. Including, pumps, flow meters, pressure/temperature PID control and plate pack heating/cooling systems. Knowledge of CIP systems and control. Packaging equipment experience including casepackers, metal detectors, checkweighers, conveyor systems, robot stacking and stretch wrap applicators. Demonstrate comprehensive skill in mainly Siemens systems both Step 7 and TIA Portal. But also including Allen Bradley, Somachine, EPAS-4 and Omron. Knowledge of SCADA and HMI development using both TIA WinCC and Wonderware Intouch. Knowledge of high voltage systems and switching, motor switch gear and control including Siemens and Danfoss inverters and Elau servos systems. Knowledge of network-based communication systems including Profibus, Profinet, Modbus TCP/RS485, Asi, IO-Link and factory ethernet networks and switches. Understanding of various safety systems and switches including Pilz Safety PLC’s and Asi-Safe modules. Knowledge of electrical CAD systems such as PCSchematic or Eplan. Project leading knowledge with respect to electrical design and installations. Knowledge of Markem inkjet printing systems and box coding. Great teamwork skills and communication at all levels. A willingness to listen and self-learn, including an ability to train others. What will I get in return?
