Our client is an industry leader in design, supply, and installation of security and protection equipment that complies with British Standards and is in demand nationally. Due to growth, their team of installation engineers requires a fitter’s mate to support them on all works.
Daily responsibilities include:
1. Accompanying an engineer in the vehicle (a driving license is required as you will be driving the van most days).
2. Helping and supporting the engineer with installations on-site (existing buildings).
3. Learning what is required to build your knowledge and become hands-on.
This role offers the opportunity to become an installation engineer with all certificates and qualifications funded. The position emphasizes recruiting for attitude, meaning commitment and a desire to learn a trade and achieve results is essential. In return, the starting salary is excellent, and as this business maintains a family-run feel, you will be looked after and rewarded.
If you have a CSCS card and have worked within construction, this would be an advantage. Alternatively, if you have been in building college, been a trainee electrician or plumber, or have engineering experience during your education, you may find this role suitable for a career change.
