Ref: AJ46171 An IT/Telecom/Engineering company is currently recruiting a SharePoint Administrator & Solutions Specialist to work in their UK office.In this role you will be responsible for managing and maintaining SharePoint environments with a focus on administration, content management, and migration processes, while supporting site architecture design Eligible applicants: - (O) Eligible visa: Permanent residence, Spouse, Partner- (X) NOT eligible: Student visa, Requiring visa sponsorship, YMS, Graduate Visa Work type: Hybrid working available Visa support: No TYPE: Permanent, full-time WORKING HOURS: 9:00-17:00 from Monday to Friday, hybrid working on Mondays and Fridays SALARY: £40k-65K depending on experience, plus good benefits START: ASAP LOCATION: Basingstoke SharePoint Administrator & Solutions Specialist Main Responsibilities: • Administer and maintain SharePoint environments, including site collections, document libraries, and lists, ensuring optimal performance and security • Support the design and implementation of site architecture, content types, metadata structures, and permissions • Manage SharePoint migrations, including data mapping, transition planning, troubleshooting • Oversee content governance by regularly reviewing and updating SharePoint content to ensure accuracy, relevance, and adherence to compliance policies • Troubleshoot and resolve SharePoint-related issues, including performance, accessibility, and functionality concerns • Provide training and support to end-users and internal SharePoint champions on best practices, features, and functionality • Assist in implementing governance policies to align with internal standards and external regulations • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support SharePoint’s role in business workflows and process improvements • Support SharePoint integration with third-party applications and databases • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the performance and usability of SharePoint environments • Expertise in SharePoint administration, site architecture, and migration processes • Familiarity with governance, security models, permissions, and user access controls in SharePoint • In-depth knowledge of SharePoint online • Understanding of content management principles, version control, managed metadata and Term Store • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, particularly Power Automate and Power Apps and advantage • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 suite, including Teams, OneDrive, and Office apps • Knowledge of SharePoint migration tools and processes (e.g. ShareGate) • Experience integrating SharePoint with third-party applications and databases SharePoint Administrator & Solutions Specialist Ideal Candidate: • SharePoint Administration (Online) • Content Type Management and Metadata Configuration (inc. Term Store) • Migration Tools and Processes (e.g., ShareGate, Metalogix) • SharePoint Permissions and Security • PowerShell for SharePoint Management • Microsoft 365 Suite (Teams, OneDrive, Office apps) • Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution • Workflow Automation (Power Automate preferred) • HTML, CSS, JavaScript (for customisation) • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. • Proven experience as a SharePoint Administrator (3 years preferred). • Strong understanding of SharePoint architecture and best practices. • Experience with SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365. • Familiarity with modern development tools such as SPFx (SharePoint Framework) is a plus. • Certification in SharePoint or related Microsoft technologies is a plus All applicants for the SharePoint Administrator & Solutions Specialist must have the right to work in the UK without any restrictions as the Company is not able to offer visa support.
