Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a registered nurse to the Tuberculosis Nursing team to support in the management and control of Tuberculosis (TB). The successful candidate will need to demonstrate effective communication skills and be able to assist the team within the wider service remit in the control and prevention of TB. You will develop the knowledge and skills necessary to contribute towards the delivery of expert TB care in the community. This unique role involves working in collaboration with the UK Health Security Agency, the local authority, acute hospital trusts and voluntary sector organisations. The post holder will be expected to work in conjunction with the band 6 TB nurses assisting with caseload management for patients active tuberculosis infection, running nurse led clinics, BCG vaccination clinics and TB screening clinics. Main duties of the job You will work within an enthusiastic team that is focused on delivering quality patient care. The TB nursing service are a community-based team that deliver care both in the community and acute trust settings working across the wide geographical area of Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire. This is a Monday to Friday service 8.00 am to 5pm (excluding bank holidays) and the applicant will be expected to have a flexible approach to working.
