Nano Fibre UK are looking for an Stock and Equipment Controller for the Bradford area to help support us as we scale.

The Stock and Equipment Controller will be responsible for supporting the procurement, distribution, maintenance, and compliance check of tools and equipment within the company. This role ensures that all tools are available, safe, and in good working order for operational teams while maintaining accurate records and adherence to UK health and safety regulations
The ideal candidate will be comfortable with a fast-paced role and working both alone and part of a team. If you are technically minded and have experience working within tool management, procurement or equipment administration this could be the role for you.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Tools & Equipment Management:
* Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all company tools, equipment, and accessories.
* Allocate and track tools assigned to employees, ensuring accountability.
* Maintain, service and calibrate tools to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
* Arrange repairs or replacements for damaged or faulty tools.
* Liaise with payroll for the costs of damaged or lost tools.
Procurement & Distribution:
* Source and purchase tools and equipment in line with company needs and budget.
* Work with suppliers to negotiate pricing, warranties, and service agreements.
* Distribute tools to employees, ensuring they receive necessary training and documentation.
Compliance & Safety:
* Ensure all tools comply with UK Health & Safety standards, including PUWER (Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations).
* Carry out periodic inspections and risk assessments of tools and equipment.
* Ensure proper storage and handling of tools to minimise safety risks.
* Maintain records of inspections, testing, and servicing for audits and compliance purposes.
Support & Coordination:
* Act as the main point of contact for tool-related queries from employees and management.
* Work closely with the Equipment and Tools Controller, engineers, stores and fleet teams to ensure tool availability.
* Implement and improve procedures for tool issuing, returns, and loss prevention.
* Assist in budgeting and cost control for tool procurement and maintenance.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, ABILITY / SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE
* Previous experience in tool management, procurement, or equipment administration.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Knowledge of UK safety regulations related to tools and equipment (e.g., PUWER, LOLER).
* Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
* Understanding of fleet and asset management principles.
* Valid UK driver's licence
