Essential Criteria
1. Must have a full UK License
2. 1 year experience supporting Children and Young People
This position is full time, with shifts starting from 8am to 10pm, averaging 28-30 hours a week over 7 shifts in 3 weeks:
1. Week 1 – 3 long days with sleep
2. Week 2 – 3 long days with sleep
3. Week 3 – 1 long day with sleep
Although a driving license is required, a vehicle will be provided.

Duties and Further Information:
1. Assist the Home Manager & Service Manager in ensuring the home operates effectively to resolve young people’s problems and encourages their healthy development.
2. Provide a conducive environment for young people with challenging behaviour and learning disabilities, managing the home to ensure professional and appropriate care.
3. Demonstrate leadership and efficient organisation.
4. Promote effective administrative and record-keeping systems.
5. Adopt a coherent approach to childcare planning for children within the home.
6. Ensure safe and healthy conditions, maintaining a pleasant, comfortable, and homely environment.
7. Liaise with external bodies and relevant individuals.
8. Actively liaise with educational provisions, local schools, and colleges to ensure appropriate education and training for young people and staff.
9. Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the home.
Requirements:
1. Driving experience
2. Experience working with challenging young people (12 months +)
3. Willingness to travel to other homes in the area if required due to staff shortages
4. Preferably have NVQ level 3 in Children and Young People or be willing to work towards this
