If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you The role of the Senior Accounts Administrator is pivotal within the organisations, requiring a combination of technical expertise, financial acumen, and administrative proficiency. This position is not just about numbers; it’s about ensuring the financial health and stability of the company through meticulous financial management, compliance with regulations, and strategic planning. As our Senior Accounts Administrator, you will be responsible for: Oversee client billing, time recording, debtors, and work-in-progress control using Star Practice Management. Cash flow management for the company and supply of information as required by the company’s bankers. Handle daily banking tasks, including online bank payments and bank account reconciliation. Credit control and debt collection. General bookkeeping tasks using Excel and Xero. Approve and pay invoices, keep tight cost control, petty cash control using Xero. Monthly trial balance, profit and loss account and balance sheet using Xero. Monthly statistics reports and analysis using Star Practice Management and Excel. Monthly payroll using Sage and submit annual returns using HMRC online. VAT return using Xero. Prepare and update budgets and cash flow forecasts using Excel. Negotitate and organise company’s finance and funding arrangements and professional indemnity insurance cover. Assist with completion and submission of company annual compliance return as required by the company’s regulatory body ICAS. Oversee client bank accounts, carry out client money transactions and ensure compliance with the ICAS clients’ money regulations. To excel in this role, you will need: Several years of experience in an accountancy background, with fluent English language skills both written and spoken. An aptitude for cash flow management. Knowledge of accounting software (preferably Xero) for accounts preparation. Hands on experience of knowledge of VAT and payroll. Familiarity with Star Practice Management or similar time and fees software would be advantageous. Commitment to the position, the firm and its goals. A handover period of several weeks will be available to give the successful candidate enough time to become familiar with the many tasks, responsibilities and software packages.
