Job Duties:
The English and Maths KS3 SEMH Tutor will be responsible for providing tailored academic support to Key Stage 3 students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Duties include creating engaging lesson plans, assessing students' abilities, delivering effective teaching sessions, monitoring progress, and providing feedback to both students and parents/guardians.
Required Qualifications:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience working with students with SEMH needs. Strong knowledge of the KS3 English and Maths curriculum.
Education:
A relevant Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
Experience:
Prior experience teaching English and Maths to Key Stage 3 students, preferably in a special educational needs (SEN) setting.
Knowledge and Skills:
Excellent communication skills, ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual student needs, strong classroom management skills, and proficiency in using educational technology.
Working Conditions:
This role involves working part-time hours on a temporary basis. The tutor will be based in a learners home setting in Great Dunmow, Essex, and may require some flexibility in working hours to accommodate students' needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
