We are actively seeking a Band 7 / 8a Clinical Psychologist to join a dynamic and supportive team in Stoke-on-Trent. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with 1-5 years of experience, particularly those with a passion for working with children, young people, and families, and with a background in early trauma or residential care psychology support.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Providing specialist psychological assessment and intervention for children, young people, and families.
2. Supporting residential care settings and working collaboratively with Local Authorities and Regional Adoption Agencies.
3. Applying expertise in therapeutic models such as DDP, EMDR, BUSS, SSP, or play-based therapies.
4. Contributing to the development and delivery of training programs for staff and carers.
5. Engaging in clinical supervision and continued professional development to uphold service excellence.
Requirements:
1. HCPC registration as a Clinical Psychologist (or equivalent in Counselling/Forensic Psychology).
2. Experience working with children, young people, and families.
3. Knowledge and experience in addressing early trauma.
4. Experience in residential homes, adoption services, or other related settings.
5. A strong understanding of psychological models for working with children who have experienced trauma and attachment disruptions.
6. Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months. On the update service? You could be fast-tracked through our recruitment process today.
