Business Development Manager
Hybrid working – x2 days in their South Manchester office and x3 days @ home/out with clients
The Role
This is an incredible opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager, with both a strong account management background, as well as new business skills, to join one of the UK’s market leading providers of hardware and software which seamlessly integrates operations across entire organisations. In this role you will need to effectively manage your time between developing and maximising opportunities within an established account base, and identifying, targeting, and securing relationships with new customers.
Working in a hybrid capacity with a couple of days in the office spent with the wider team, and the remainder of the time out in the field in front of customers, you will have autonomy to manage your diary and client meetings, but have all the benefits of a vast support network behind you in the form of management and internal colleagues. Selling the company's specialist and market leading range of hardware and software including AV, Document Management, Cloud & Data Solutions, Printer/Copiers and ERP Software, you will have a wide remit of customers to manage and approach. Any business could require these solutions/products so you will be dealing with a vast range of vertical markets, and businesses of all sizes from SMEs to large corporates.
While you will be required to be located within reasonable travel distance to the office in the North West, you will have a National remit giving you endless opportunities! Any new accounts you bring on board will be retained, so naturally this role could develop into more of an account management position, but there will always be an expectation to develop relationships with new businesses. Given the varied remit, targeting clients within a range of sectors, and decision makers in a number of different roles and levels, so you will need to demonstrate the ability to adopt a tailored approach.
Requirements:
* Be an experienced B2B sales professional with at least 18 months of field based sales experience and a stable track record is essential.
* Have worked in a role where you have managed both existing accounts and targeted new accounts.
* Have recently, if not currently, sold either MPS, communications (hardware or software) or anything related to the services and products provided by this company.
* Be highly target driven, motivated, a great relationship builder, personable and credible.
* Have a resilient and competitive nature.
The Package:
* Basic salary circa £30,000-£45,000 (DOE) + a bonus scheme that could double your basic salary
