Job Description
About the Role:
Assystem is seeking an experienced Configuration Engineer – Piping to join our team on the Hinkley Point C (HPC) project. In this role, you will be embedded with EDF’s client-side team, providing essential support for the configuration and management of piping systems for one of the UK’s most critical nuclear new build projects.
Location: Satellite Delivery Centre, Bridgwater. 3/4 days per week in the office with regular travel to HPC site required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and maintain configuration records for piping systems, ensuring all changes are accurately tracked and documented.
* Oversee the implementation of changes in piping design, ensuring compliance with project specifications and regulatory standards.
* Collaborate with design, construction, and quality teams to ensure piping systems meet all functional and safety requirements.
* Ensure version control and proper documentation of piping configurations through the project lifecycle.
* Liaise with subcontractors and client-side teams to resolve configuration issues and support the successful integration of piping systems.
* Participate in design reviews, audits, and inspections to maintain piping system integrity.
My profile
Requirements:
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
* Proven experience in piping configuration management, ideally in a large-scale construction or nuclear environment.
* Familiarity with piping design codes and standards, such as ASME B31.1/B31.3, ideally RCC-M French codes.
* Strong organisational and documentation skills, with an ability to manage multiple configuration changes simultaneously.
* Knowledge of version control and change management tools.
