Our client is a bespoke turn-key manufacturer of sustainable products for the construction industry. Due to continuous and stable growth over the past years, they are looking for an experienced Supply Chain Assistant to join the Supply Department. This role has previously been fulfilled by the Demand Planner; however, due to an increase in production, this now needs to be a full-time support position. The company is truly invested in their staff and will always look for candidates who want career development and progression opportunities, supporting them through this.
Role & Responsibilities:
* Working with the Demand Planner and the Supply Chain team (you will have to step in for the Demand Planner when they are on holiday/out of the business)
* Assisting with the purchasing of materials and sourcing of new materials
* Creating Purchase Orders
* Speaking with clients/suppliers via phone and email
* Analyzing purchasing data and production data to identify trends and cost-saving opportunities
* Preparing reports for sales presentations and budgets
* Systems used: SAGE, Microsoft Office
Key Skills / Experience required:
* Experience using SAGE or other procurement systems
* Experience within supply chain or demand planning
