Job Title: Principal Engineer – Electrical Engineering (Power)

Key Responsibilities:
* Develop design solutions to meet project or business milestones, balancing time, cost, and quality requirements.
* Define and manage system or product requirements and acceptance criteria, considering contractual and performance aspects.
* Produce documentation necessary for design review, including diagrams, technical specifications, calculations, and design evidence.
* Support integrated performance and acceptance activities, ensuring equipment meets customer acceptance standards.
* Review supplier documentation, capturing and recording relevant information.
* Contribute to estimate development for scope of work and resources required to deliver it.
* Deliver technical input and engineering solutions to support build activities, defect resolution, and change management.
Requirements:
* BEng (Hons) / MEng or equivalent qualification, along with CEng status (or ability to satisfy CEng requirements).
* Significant experience in the engineering lifecycle.
* Understanding of at least one area: Power system modeling, generators, switchgear, protection, power electronics.
* In-depth knowledge of Power System Architecture, Power Generation and Distribution, Protection and Coordination, or Power Earth Fault Monitoring.
* Experience working within a relevant Engineering role to industry codes and standards.

About the Team:
The Coventry team supports the Engineering Manager and external specialists during platform power systems development and analysis. As Principal Engineer, you will lead the team, managing day-to-day activities and production of deliverables, while developing and maintaining team competency and skills.
