About the role:
We are working with several prestigious secondary schools across North London, who are seeking full-time cover supervisors to join their inspiring teams. This role offers the stability of a long-term commitment to one school, eliminating the hassle of early morning calls and unpredictable assignments in various locations. You can enjoy job security and peace of mind knowing you're part of a dedicated team within a supportive educational environment.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the academic progress and well-being of students across various subject areas. Working collaboratively with other support staff and experienced senior leadership, you will receive ongoing support and training to enhance your professional development and advance your career.
Flexibility is CRUCIAL - You will be asked to cover varying lessons, and must be adaptable to suit the needs of the school's timetable. Should there be a subject you are confident to cover, we can support you in streamlining your timetable to adhere to this.
Responsibilities of a Cover Supervisor
* Delivering pre-prepared lesson plans and ensuring their smooth execution in the absence of the regular teacher.
* Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a conducive learning environment.
* Providing support to students as needed, including one-on-one assistance or facilitating small group activities.
* Supervising students during class to ensure they remain on task and follow school rules.
* Supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) and implementing strategies to accommodate diverse learning needs.
* Collaborating with teachers to understand and implement instructional strategies tailored to the needs of individual students.
* Building positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to foster a supportive learning community and enhance the overall educational experience.
Minimum Requirements
* Graduate degree required; minimum 2:1 and above.
* Previous experience working with students.
* Must have RTW in the UK - this position is not suitable for applicants who require sponsorship.
What This School Can Offer You:
* A supportive and collaborative working environment with established professionals.
* Opportunities for professional development and growth within the school.
* A beautiful and inspiring setting to teach and learn in.
If you are ready to inspire and empower students in a dynamic educational environment, we would love to hear from you!
