1. Working closely with Business Assurance, Field, Actuarial and other colleagues, you will investigate and resolve individual client advice or product-related issues that may become complaints if no action is taken.
2. Review all evidence; including documentation, recollections of those involved and what would be deemed reasonable.
3. Ensure St. James’s Place treats its clients fairly by reviewing cases equitably, effectively and promptly.
4. Proactively identify and escalate sensitive issues, to ensure senior-level awareness at an early stage.
5. Review what has gone wrong, identify what needs to be done to correct the situation and make the correction with as little disturbance to the client as possible.
6. Protect the client relationship whilst balancing commercial considerations.
Who we’re looking for:
7. You’ll have strong experience from a complaint handling or quality control role gained within the financial services industry.
8. A good technical understanding of products, including life, pensions and investments – as well as Trusts and all types of Tax.
9. CII Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (or working towards), or equivalent experience.
10. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to make decisions and clearly document reasoning and action required.
11. You’ll stays calm under pressure, demonstrating effective time management, with the ability to react to changes as they present.
