We are seeking a Lead Systems Engineer to manage the AV datacentre and server environments, including analysis, design, installation, maintenance, backup, licensing and security across datacentre, server and cloud infrastructure to ensure the ongoing administrative and operational functioning of the AV business.
This is a Full Time, permanent position. While WFH/Hybrid options are available, it is essential that the successful applicant maintains a presence at Blackburn or Ballarat in line with our hybrid working model.
About the role
Reporting to the Senior Manager Cloud & IT Infrastructure, responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
* Develop and adhere to policies, procedures and standards for systems functions in conjunction with stakeholders for operational implementation
* Develop and provide operational reports for management
* Implement infrastructure solutions and design redundant solutions, strategies and roadmaps for the ongoing improvement, efficiency and simplification of Ambulance Victoria's infrastructure
* Provide technical leadership in automation, repeatability and continuous improvement to ensure Ambulance Victoria can deploy and maintain quality and ever improving enterprise infrastructure
* Provide effective leadership to the systems engineering team by fostering a culture of accountability, leadership and continuous process improvement
* Ensure adherence to change control policies and procedures for all activities associated with systems engineering and administration
About you
The ideal candidate has:
* A postgraduate degree in business, technology, computing or equivalent or relevant industry certification (or progress toward) with high level relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and sound experience
* Microsoft Certification (Systems Engineer) or equivalent qualification
* Demonstrated experience across infrastructure management and solutions, including establishment and management of Virtualised enterprise level server environments operating under VMware
* Proven capability in Active Directory design, Group Policy design, support of complex Microsoft Windows Server environments, Microsoft Exchange Server 2016 and Exchange Online with strong documentation skills using MS Office products including Microsoft Visio
