The Role
As a IT Security Manager you will join an embedded team within 41 Test and Evaluation Squadron based out of RAF Coningsby. You will be part of a growing team of experts who assist in the development of the military capability of the RAF’s Typhoon aircraft.
Day-to-day, be working alongside RAF and other industry personnel to support Typhoon trial activities. Specifically, within this position, you will analyse IT security requirements and apply them to achieve and maintain security compliance.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Managing the security and accreditation of bespoke IT systems dedicated to supporting Typhoon flight and ground trials
* Providing on-site day-to-day system management for MOD-owned IT systems critical to 41 TES trials output
* Supporting the MOD through leadership and advice on IT security best practice, by identifying and implementing efficiencies and improvements, and by advising how best to optimise the current and future IT infrastructure
* Deputising for the 41 TES Data Manager, by managing flight trials data in support of 41 TES trial activities
* Providing project support activities as required in support of QinetiQ and the ASWC
Essential experience of the IT Security Manager:
* Experience of MOD Security with a comprehensive knowledge of JSP 440
* Experience of IT accreditation under the legacy and SbD processes
* Experience of working in a customer environment

This role is 37 hours per week based at Lincoln. Hybrid working patterns available.
The Lincoln facility is integral to advancing defence technology and providing innovative solutions to meet the demands of modern military operations.
