Data Governance Lead (Risk and BCBS 239)

The EMEA Data Office is focused on delivering the highest standards of data management including for data quality, data architecture, artificial intelligence, data sovereignty, and other areas of data governance to empower decision-making and ensure compliance with regional and global regulations.
What role will you play?
You will report directly to the EMEA Regional Data Officer and collaborate closely with the Risk Management Group Data Office to enhance and lead the Risk Data Aggregation and Risk Reporting governance capability across EMEA, with an operating model designed to be suitable for global extension.
Your contributions will directly influence the decision-making process and data risk management capability across the globe, ensuring Macquarie delivers outstanding risk data management.
Moreover, this role presents a unique opportunity for growth, offering you the potential to develop the position and provide leadership across a broader set of Data Governance objectives over time.
What you offer
* Proven track record of driving a Basel Committee on Banking Supervision 239 programme in a global banking group.
* Recognised Data Governance leader with extensive experience in establishing and enforcing data standards.
* History of driving change management across the three lines of defense, leveraging strong people influencing skills.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to convey complex data concepts to global stakeholders using everyday language.
* Expert understanding of data risk assessment in a risk data aggregation and risk reporting context, and effective control design and testing.
