Falcon Green are currently working alongside an international engineering contractor who carry out a wide range mission critical projects across Europe. They are looking for a Pre-Construction Project Manager to join their team in the Glasgow office to work across a wide array of their upcoming and future projects.
This role would be focused on the data centre market, the largest and most profitable division within the company with a pipeline already secured for the next five years.
The data centre sector is the fastest growing sector in construction at present, there is no better time to be getting into the sector. This coupled with the increased emphasis that this client has put on their data centre division, makes an excellent opportunity for growth and room to make your mark in this role.
Pre-Construction Manager Key Responsibilities:
* Reportable to the Preconstruction Director you will be responsible for all pre-contract operations.
* Manage and Coordinate all aspects of pre-contract activities including, estimating, planning, procurement, governance
* Where required, lead the bid management process to ensure that tender deliverables are produced in a timely and effective manner
* Oversee and/or interrogate design options and value engineering solutions in line with the customer's remit
* Plan and coordinate logistics for each project
* Identify possible risks and mitigate plans to avoid
* Meet with key subcontractors to assess methodology and programme.
* Assist in management resourcing for projects.
Pre-Construction Manager Key Requirements:
* Proven capability in managing and winning, multi-million-pound tenders.
* Ideally has a background in tendering and experience of bid management from opportunity identification through to project win, and will provide valuable input into opportunity qualification, win strategies, commercial discussions and design solutions.
* Must be comfortable working at a senior level and interacting with customers at CEO/Director Level.
* They will be fully conversant with the competitive marketplace and have an understanding of commercial risk and opportunity.
* They will have the ability to manage a team and control and implement the internal preconstruction governance procedures.
* Must be an excellent communicator.
