Care Home Manager
Norfolk, Norwich
Salary: £55,000 per annum
As a Home Manager, you'll be at the helm of daily operations. You'll play a key role in ensuring that high-quality care and support are provided to residents, while also meeting financial goals and maintaining full occupancy.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and guide the home's staff, fostering a culture of kindness, compassion, and empathy.
2. Recruit, train, and retain a skilled team of care professionals committed to delivering person-centered care.
3. Ensure regulatory compliance with CQC standards, consistently maintaining high levels of care.
4. Manage the home's budget effectively, meeting financial goals and optimizing costs.
5. Implement a strategic marketing plan to maintain full occupancy and promote the home's offerings to potential residents and their families.
6. Cultivate positive relationships with residents, families, and other stakeholders, promptly addressing their needs and concerns.
7. Continuously monitor performance, implementing improvements as needed.
8. Proactively manage risks, ensuring a safe and secure environment for residents and staff.
Skills and Attributes:
1. Prior experience managing a nursing or residential home.
2. Strong knowledge of CQC standards with a proven record of working towards Outstanding ratings.
3. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build and sustain relationships with internal and external professionals, families, and visitors.
4. Proven marketing and business skills, with experience running a commercially successful care home.
5. A passion for delivering person-centered care and fostering a supportive environment for both residents and staff.
6. Ability to contribute to the growth and development of the care service.
Education and Qualifications:
1. Preferably NMC-registered nurse with relevant post-registration experience (desirable but not essential).
