About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Head of Category to lead our product and service portfolio, driving market share growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction. This is a strategic leadership role that blends commercial, analytical, and operational expertise with strong supplier management and team leadership skills.
What you will do:
As the Head of Category, you will be responsible for managing our hearing aid portfolio, accessories, and service offerings, ensuring we have a competitive and customer-focused range that aligns with our business goals, brand positioning, and market trends. You will develop and execute pricing strategies, promotional plans, and category roadmaps that support business growth while maximising customer conversion and maintaining profitability.
The role requires a data-driven mindset, with the ability to analyse category performance, forecast demand, and make informed decisions to enhance Boots Hearingcare’s market presence. You will also work closely with global and local partners within Sonova (our parent company), manufacturers, and service providers to ensure seamless product launches, compliance with service level agreements, and optimal supply chain management.
Additionally, you will lead and mentor a high-performing category team, ensuring they have the skills, knowledge, and support needed to drive success in their respective areas. Your ability to influence cross-functional teams, negotiate with suppliers, and work within a fast-paced retail and healthcare environment will be crucial to achieving the role’s objectives.

Person Specification:
* Proven experience in category or product management within a retail or manufacturing business.
* Strong business acumen, with excellent analytical and numerical skills to drive commercial decision-making.
* Experience in developing business cases, pricing strategies, and promotional plans.
* Strong negotiation and supplier management skills, with experience managing external contracts and relationships.
* Ability to lead, develop, and inspire a team, fostering collaboration and innovation.
* Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
* Project management experience, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* A proactive, results-oriented approach, with a strong ability to identify opportunities for improvement.
