We are currently recruiting for a Food & Beverage Assistant at Stanbrook Abbey Hotel, part of Hand Picked Hotels, this role is offered on a casual contract basis, hours will depend on business needs. Stanbrook Abbey Hotel is renowned as one of Worcestershire’s best-kept secrets. With a recent £4.2m renovation, meticulously designed to celebrate the country house hotel’s history, introduced the new brasserie-style dining experience in The Refectory restaurant, situated at the site of the original nun’s cafeteria. An additional eight new bedrooms are situated on the second floor, with a further seven rooms built in the original schoolhouse in St Anne’s Wing, bringing the total number of bedrooms to 70. About the Role The role of a Food and Beverage Assistant involves preparing food and beverage service areas to Hand Picked Hotels standards ensuring high standards of presentation are always maintained. You will be expected to be able to hold a good level of knowledge regarding food menu items and availability, including main ingredients, allergens and preparation style. Be able to offer accurate and enticing product descriptions with recommendations based on guest preferences. Working enthusiastically alongside team members to achieve departmental goals. As Food and Beverage Assistant you will be expected to be able to maintain a basic knowledge of the wine list and stock availability. Understands the basic principles of food and wine matching, different grape varieties and predominant flavours. Most of all we will want you to be inspired, have fun and enjoy being part of our Hand Picked Team. About you: To be considered for this role you will have current base knowledge and experience of food and beverage within a quality driven hotel, restaurant, or hospitality environment. You will be enthusiastic and willing to take on new responsibilities. Adopt a flexible approach to assist in different areas of the hotel as business and guest needs dictate. Having a high level of emotional intelligence, enabling you to be able to anticipate our guests needs ensuring they receive a Hand Picked experience.
