Job Title: ESOL Tutor Location: Hounslow, London Contract Type: Flexible, Part-Time Start Date: ASAP Pay Rate: Starting from £25/hour (based on experience and qualifications About the Role As an ESOL Tutor, you will deliver engaging, tailored lessons that support the development of reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills. You will work with a diverse range of students, including those with additional needs, to help them improve their English language proficiency. Your work will be key to helping learners integrate into society, advance academically, and thrive personally. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver ESOL lessons in one-to-one or small group settings. Adapt teaching methods to meet the varied needs of your students, ensuring lessons are engaging and accessible. Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to learners and, where appropriate, to parents or guardians. Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages confidence and active participation. Work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals to enhance the learning experience. Requirements ESOL, EAL, or TEFL qualification. Minimum 1 year of experience teaching or tutoring ESOL. Right to work in the UK. Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undertake one). Desired Qualities Experience working with SEN children. Teaching qualification such as PGCE or QTS is highly desirable. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a flexible, adaptable approach to teaching. A genuine passion for helping learners improve their language skills and achieve their goals.
